This travellers' hut is located on the second floor of an authentic, cozily restored wooden farmhouse of Aukštaitija region. The house was built in 1840 and rebuilt in 1940. The owners of the eco-farm "Alantos žirgai", who renovated the homestead and gave it a second life, live on the first floor. Around the hut - green meadows, hilly landscape, a pond in the homestead yard and a view of the Alanta church. The neighbours of the hut are Žemaitukai (traditional Lithuanian horse breed), ponies, black Angus cows, as well as cranes, foxes, badgers, and sometimes roe deer or elk. ​

 

The  hut is located on the second floor of a residential building, has a separate entrance (door from the street side). It has 4 separate bedrooms (a total of 4 single and 2 double beds), a kitchenette and a toilet with a shower. The building is heated, so you can stay all year round. Travellers can also swim in the pond in the yard of the homestead, walk around the territory visiting the horses. And if you bring carrots - the ponies will be happy!

1. You will find the QR code and lockbox near the entrance door (brown door from the street side), on the left side wall.

 

2. For an additional fee (5 €, paid on site) you can use a set of clean bed linens (then you will not need your own sleeping bag). Travellers must put on and take off the bedding themselves - all information is on the chest of drawers by the stairs. ​

3. The hut has all the amenities - hot/cold water, shower, indoor toilet, kitchen with mugs, plates and utensils.
