This is a hut in the Aukštadvaris Regional Park, just 4 km from the town of Aukštadvaris with all amenities (shop, café-pizzeria, farmers market, etc.), surrounded by beautiful forests, brought back to life by the hands of our volunteers community in 2025.

The hut has a shared kitchen/living room area, two separate bedrooms and a veranda for reading pleasure. The hut has 5 single beds and 1 double bed (with mattresses).

 

Opening the wooden hatch and climbing up the stairs, one can enter the attic, which can accommodate another 20-30 travellers (by spreading out their tourist mats on the ground). In winter, the hatch must be closed, as the attic space can not be heated.

IMPORTANT: 

​

1. Near the hut (about 50 m along the path through the orchard) there is an ancient water well with wooden bottoms. Its water is suitable for washing and cleaning, but not for cooking - please bring drinking water with you.​

2. If you will be using electricity, turn on the electrical fuses (on the wall near the stairs) when you arrive, and be sure to turn them off when you leave.

​

3. The hut has two old woodstoves - they are not working properly, so it is forbidden to light fire in both of them! A new metal woodstove is being installed in the hut, it will  heat the first floor.

4. Lake Gelioniai is located 900 m from the hut. It is private, but swimming in it is allowed if the owners' privacy is not disturbed. If you want to swim in it, when coming to the lake along the forest road, turn left across the meadow as soon as you see the lake, do not go near the owners' homestead on the lake shore.

5. The phone connection/wifi inside the hut is weak. The best connection is near the outdoor toilet :)

6. The hut's front yard is monitored by CCTV.
